This notice covers the A-Z Cleaning website and cleaning enquiries. For a privacy request, contact the business owner using the email or telephone above.

Information we collect and why

Our quote form asks for your name, email, telephone number, suburb or service area, required service and job details. Company name and preferred date are optional. We use these details to respond, assess your requirements and prepare a quote. Without the required details, we may be unable to assess or respond to the request. You can also contact us by telephone or WhatsApp.

If you book, we may need the service address, access instructions, agreed scope, schedule and billing details to perform the work and keep business records. Photos you choose to send help us assess surfaces, access and condition. Please avoid including people, identity documents, alarm codes or unrelated private information in photos and enquiries.

We process information to take steps you request before a booking, perform an agreed service, meet applicable legal duties and protect legitimate interests such as site security and handling disputes. Optional marketing is separate from an enquiry.

Where information goes

Website enquiries are delivered by email to the business’s designated Gmail inbox. The website is hosted by xneelo. Relevant information is used by the people handling your enquiry or cleaning job and by hosting, email and communication providers needed to deliver those services. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to handle a claim. We do not sell enquiry information.

If you use WhatsApp, your messages and photographs also pass through WhatsApp/Meta. Email and messaging providers may process information outside South Africa. Cross-border transfers must meet the applicable requirements of POPIA; contact us if you need details about the providers used for your enquiry.

Website operation and storage

The server may record technical information such as IP address, browser details, request time and requested pages for operation and security. The quotation form uses a security token, a hidden spam-check field and a short-lived, hashed-IP rate limit. The site may use browser session storage for display features. Administrator login cookies are used for site management.

The current public cleaning pages do not use an advertising pixel or a behavioural analytics service. Following a link to WhatsApp, Google or a social platform opens a separate service with its own privacy and cookie settings. Browser controls can clear or restrict local storage and cookies; doing so may affect some functions.

Marketing choices

The offers checkbox is optional and is not required for a quote. Leaving it unticked does not stop us replying about your enquiry or booking. You can withdraw marketing consent or ask us to stop promotional messages at any time using the contact details above or the opt-out method in a message.

Retention and protection

We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the enquiry, service, applicable record-keeping duties or a legitimate unresolved claim. Information no longer needed should be deleted, de-identified or securely disposed of. Website, email and backup systems may have different retention cycles. You may ask what we hold and request deletion where there is no lawful reason to retain it.

Access is limited to people and providers who need the information for these purposes. The website uses HTTPS and form security checks. No online system is risk-free; please tell us promptly if you suspect misuse of information you supplied.

Your rights and complaints

Subject to POPIA, you may request access, correction or deletion, object to processing where applicable, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing or changing records. You may complain directly to South Africa’s Information Regulator, including at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

Changes and earlier transactions

Updates will be dated on this page. This cleaning-site notice does not rewrite the terms of earlier retail transactions or remove rights relating to those records. Contact us for information about a previous enquiry or order.
